OoYes Supports “Turnovo Ultra 2025” with Sanitary Facilities

On April 12 and 13, 2025, the city of Veliko Tarnovo once again hosted the region’s largest sporting event – the 10th anniversary edition of the “Turnovo Ultra” ultramarathon. More than 2,400 participants took part in this thrilling competition, testing their endurance in running, cycling, and duathlon races along picturesque routes around the historic town.

In support of the health, comfort, and hygiene of both athletes and spectators, OoYes provided 12 chemical toilets and 4 field sinks to the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo. These facilities were strategically placed near the start/finish areas, along the courses, and at other high-traffic locations, ensuring essential sanitary comfort throughout the two-day sporting celebration.

The race routes passed through iconic landmarks and natural areas including Tsarevets Fortress, Arbanasi, Rahovec, Ksilifor, and Garga Bair. The event also attracted international participants from Greece, Romania, and Serbia. Competitors vied for a prize fund totaling BGN 25,000, sponsored by partners and awarded in the form of sports gear, store vouchers, and other athletic goods. The event was held with the support of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo.

A special highlight this year was the focus on young talent – for the first time, a kids’ race was organized for children aged 4 to 14. Every child received a medal from event organizers Ivan Dimitrov and Ivan Sirakov from the Brown Team Orienteering Club – Veliko Tarnovo.

On Saturday, April 12, over 650 cyclists competed in 35 and 55 km races, while on Sunday nearly 1,900 runners took on four distances – 14, 25, 32, and 51 km – including two duathlon courses. Age categories included men, women, veterans, and for the first time, a new youth division for participants under 18 in the short-distance running and cycling events.
