Giro d’Italia Chose OoYes as Its Partner in Bulgaria

In May 2026, Bulgaria did not simply host a sporting event.
Bulgaria became part of the history of one of the world’s largest and most recognizable sporting events — Giro d'Italia.

The 109th edition of the legendary cycling race officially started from Bulgarian soil — something that happens outside Italy extremely rarely.

Nessebar. Burgas. Veliko Tarnovo. Plovdiv. Sofia.

For three days, millions of viewers around the world watched Bulgaria. They watched our landscapes. Our cities. Our streets. Our organization.

And we at OoYes are incredibly proud that the organizers of Giro d’Italia contacted us directly and chose OoYes as their partner in Bulgaria.

Giro d’Italia Does Not Choose Partners Randomly

When we talk about Giro d’Italia, we are talking about one of the three biggest cycling races in the world, alongside the Tour de France and Vuelta a España.

An event with:
  • hundreds of millions of viewers
  • international television coverage
  • massive logistics
  • thousands of participants and team members
  • tens of thousands of spectators on-site
  • coordination between multiple cities and institutions

At this scale, there is no room for compromise.

That is why it is a huge honor for us that the organizers of Giro d’Italia selected OoYes to provide part of the key infrastructure for the Bulgarian stages of the race.

What OoYes Provided for Giro d’Italia Bulgaria 2026

During the three Bulgarian stages, OoYes provided:
  • portable toilets
  • crowd control barriers
  • logistics between different locations
  • on-site servicing and coordination
But the truth is that events of this scale are not simply about “delivering equipment.” They are about:
  • planning
  • organization
  • coordination
  • fast response
  • servicing
  • continuous communication
  • working under pressure
  • operating in a fast-moving environment with massive crowds
Because when cities are full, roads are closed, schedules move minute by minute, and the world is watching, every operation behind the scenes must work flawlessly.

From Burgas to Sofia: Bulgaria Lived with Giro d’Italia

The race started in Nessebar. The first stage passed through Burgas, Pomorie, Chernomorets, and Sozopol, where thousands of people gathered along the streets to welcome some of the world’s best cyclists.

The second stage finished in Veliko Tarnovo, where tens of thousands of spectators filled the streets of Bulgaria’s historic capital.
More than 2,200 athletes, team members, and event staff arrived in Veliko Tarnovo for the event.

The final Bulgarian stage started in Plovdiv and finished in Sofia, where the capital city literally turned into a stage for world cycling.

Sofia Showed a Scale Rarely Seen in Bulgaria

More than 250,000 people took part in the events surrounding the Giro d’Italia финал in Sofia.

Nearly 30,000 cyclists filled Tsarigradsko Shose Boulevard during the “Sofia Rides Giro” cycling parade.

More than 800 police officers were involved in security and organization.

Boulevards were closed. Cities were coordinated. Thousands of people worked behind the scenes. And all of it was broadcast to the world.

This was global exposure — for Bulgaria and for OoYes.

Global Events Require Trusted Partners

When Giro d’Italia chooses Bulgaria for a Grande Partenza, it brings enormous international attention to the country.

But when the organizers of Giro d’Italia contact OoYes directly and choose us as their partner in Bulgaria, it means something even bigger.
It means trust, recognition. It means that when an event of global scale requires flawless logistics, infrastructure, and organization under enormous pressure, OoYes is a name that can be relied on.

For us, this is a huge recognition:
  • of our service quality
  • of our organization
  • of the standards we maintain
  • of the people behind OoYes
Of the colleagues who worked for days without rest.
Of the teams who planned, coordinated, transported, positioned, and serviced everything along the route.

Because at events like this, you do not simply deliver equipment. You deliver reliability. You deliver peace of mind for the organizers. You deliver a service that must perform flawlessly under extreme pressure, across multiple cities at the same time, in front of the entire world.

Behind Every Major Event Are People

We would like to express special thanks to all of our colleagues who were part of the organization. To the field teams. To the logistics and transport teams.
To the people coordinating operations between the different cities. To everyone who worked late into the night and started again early the next morning.

Because events like this happen thanks to enormous teamwork. And that is the true strength of OoYes — not just the equipment, but the service behind it. The organization behind it. The people behind it.

Giro d’Italia may be over, but Bulgaria left its mark.

From May 8 to May 10, Bulgaria was on the global sports map. And we at OoYes are proud to have been part of this story.
Proud that one of the world’s largest sporting events chose us. Proud that we demonstrated what a Bulgarian company can achieve when it is built on organization, dedication, and people who never compromise on quality.
