Black Sea Cup 2025 – Top Swimmers Compete in Varna
Varna Welcomes the Elite of Bulgarian Swimming
From June 6 to 8, 2025, the eighth and most competitive edition of the Black Sea Cup took place at the “Primorski” swimming complex in Varna. The event gathered more than 250 athletes from 21 swimming clubs across Bulgaria, who competed in a fierce battle for medals, recognition, and cash prizes.
Organized by PSK “Cherno More,” the Municipality of Varna, and the Bulgarian Swimming Federation, the tournament was held in full compliance with FINA regulations and officiated by international judges.

Strong Competition and Impressive Performances
Participants competed in four age groups, with each swimmer eligible to take part in up to four events. Prize money was awarded to the top five finishers in each category, ranging from BGN 200 to BGN 3,000. The best male and female swimmers, along with their coaches, also received special awards.
This year’s champions were Teya Nikolova and Maksim Manolov, both representing the host club PSK “Cherno More” and trained by coach Nikola Petrov. All three will represent Bulgaria at the upcoming U23 European Championships in Slovakia and the World Championships in Singapore.
